DuPont Water Solutions have an opportunity for a Learnership for summer 2020/2025.
Assignments will be spread across functions. These positions provide an excellent development opportunity to learn about Ion Exchange Technology. The Learner will be accountable for:
- Understanding and following the appropriate Environmental, Health and Safety standards, policies and procedures of DuPont and Wits University
- Assisting the Laboratory Technician with the laboratory’s day to day work
- Ensure deadlines are met
- Samples are analyzed timeously, and reports are sent on time
- Housekeeping
- Participation in Adhoc projects
Qualifications
- Studying towards BSc in Chemistry or BSc (Eng.) in Chemical
Requirements
The following requirements MUST be met for consideration in this student employment program:
- We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated the following capabilities:
- Desktop software skills, particularly knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to coordinate and prioritize various assignments
- Ability to interact as a team player
- Ability to complete assignments responsibly and function independently
- Ability to learn quickly and adhere to instructions diligently
