Anglo American Learnership Programme 2024

Interested? You will need a certificate or statement of results if certificate is not yet issued (progress reports will not be accepted) with the following subjects:
MILLWRIGHT: Minimum N2 with Mathematics • Engineering Science Industrial Electronics • Electrical Trade Theory • Fitting and Machining Trade Theory

PLATER / WELDER: • Minimum N2 with Mathematics • Engineering Science • Platers’ Theory as subjects.

Management Assistant: Minimum N6 with Communication, Information Processing, Office Practice, and Computer Practice as subjects.
You must pass an aptitude test and interview, as well as a medical assessment before the learnership will commence.
Preference will be given to HDSA & WIM.



Learnerships include: • Stipend/allowance per month • Learnership agreement • Subsidised accommodation and meals (only for students outside Kathu) • Toolbox (will become the property of the learner after the successful completion of the trade test) • Free PPE • Free training.
Training Programme for Artisan Learners:



  • 1st year: Institutional (Theory) Training at SIVOS Technical Training Centre, Sishen Mine
  • 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Sishen Mine
  • 3rd year: Complete Trade Test

Forward these to the Admin Office, SIVOS, Private Bag X506, Kathu 8446, or deliver by hand (only during office hours) at the Admin Office, SIVOS, corner of Hans Coetzee and Hendrik van Eck Avenues, Kathu 8446 before 17 August 2018.
No faxes or scanned documents will be accepted.
